Tumblr Vs. WordPress

Tumblr is obviously not the only blogging platform around. There are a lot of web services that lets you create sites for free and allows you to update theme easily. One of these services is WordPress.com.
It’s basically a free hosted version of the blogging platform WordPress. It’s an easy solution for starting a more traditional blogging platform it recently released some updates to have more tumblr-like post formats.
It is very easy to post on WordPress, but Tumblr is even easier. Compared to Tumblr, WordPress more of a one-way communication. You post an article on your blog about a certain topic and it remains static on that page. It doesn’t get “moved around” or shared with other people unless you share them through social media apps or other third party apps. This makes it a little harder for your content to go viral and reach a wide audience.
With Tumblr, there are more social networking features such as reblogs and likes that could make your content, whether it be a gif or a video, go viral in just a couple of hours. In addition, post’s popularity will grow overtime and won’t be stagnant.
One great feature that WordPress does is it’s plugin system. It lets you super charge your blog with ease just by dragging and dropping. With Tumblr you would have to manually if add a widget code in your tumblr theme’s HTML Code.
