How to Backup your Tumblr Posts on a Mac

This is a tutorial on how to back up your files on tumblr if you are using a mac computer. If you are using windows, you can read this tutorial on how to back up tumblr blog on windows.

If you just messed up your tumblr theme, you can just revert to your old tumblr theme.

What will it save?

This backup application will download all the images you have posted including private posts. It also downloads the following:

CSS file of your theme
HTML codes of your tumblr theme
All posts you may have on Draft
Your description file

How to back up your tumblr posts on a mac.

To download your tumblr posts, you would need to install the Tumblr backup for MAC. It’s developed by tumblr itself, so you know that it would work. However, it’s still in it’s beta phase, so there’s still not that many features.

Download the tumblr back up program here.
Unzip the file and Install the Back up program
Log in with your tumblr info and click start back up
