How to Come Up with a Cute Tumblr Name

Do you have a cute-focused tumblr, or have you decided to create one but could not come up with a cute tumblr name?

Sometimes, it’s really difficult and frustrating when you have a writer’s block and just can’t come up with a perfect cute tumblr name that would fit your blog.

Before, I’ve written an article on how to come up with good tumblr names, but they were more for tumblers with general topics. In this article, I’ll list some ways on how to come up with a cute name for tumblr specifically for cute tumblrs. These methods will hopefully get your creative juices flowing and come up with the cutest name for your tumblr.

Tips on How to Come Up with Cute Tumblr Names:

Tip 1 – Speak Chic? Make it French

My friend who goes to a fashion school always says that if I need to make something sound lovely or smart, just say it in French. This method is great if you have a fashion blog or blog mostly about fashion. You can use French fashion terms as your tumblr name or the base of your new name. Just google “fashion terms” and translate it to french if it isn’t already in French.

Tip 2 – Crayon Names

This may sound crazy, but there are some creative crayon names out there. If your blog is less focused on a certain topic, but is still cute, then this method is perfect. Colourlovers.com created a list of 120 Crayon Colors and their names. You can then use these names plus add your own personal term or word to come up with your original cute name.

Tip 3 – Adjective Plus Noun (cute ones)

This is also a method that I use when coming up with a cute tumblr name. Think of an adjective that you think is cute and combine it with a noun. This could be an object you like, or maybe the topic of your tumblr. Here are some examples:

Charming + Peach
Cute + Lies
Divine + Cupcakes
Jumping + Pajamas
Vintage + Rainbow

Of course, there are a lot other ways to come up with a cute tumblr name ideas for your tumblr. If you already have an established tumblr blog, but still want to change your name, it might be a great idea to make an “I’ve Moved” page to let your followers know that you’ve changed your Tumblr name.
